Raymond Terrace Community Church's Pastoral Team

Our Pastoral Team

Pastor Glenn Baigent

When Gabrielle & Glenn came to the Community Church in 2001, they had two children, Caitlin and Samuel. During 2001 their third child Emma came along and finally in 2003 Jack was born. Prior to coming to Raymond Terrace, they served in country Victoria in a church of about 400 people. As an associate pastor there, their main responsibilities were pastoral care and small groups. Prior to this they were at College in Sydney.

Glenn worked in the building industry before coming into pastoral ministry and Gabrielle is a Registered Nurse. Besides spending time with each other, and family, Glenn enjoys playing soccer in the church team, reading, and relaxing with friends. Gabrielle enjoys cooking, scrap booking and watching “chick flicks” otherwise known as romantic comedies.

Their passion is to see Raymond Terrace Community Church be a healthy, functioning church that demonstrates God’s love to all.

Pastor Tim Blatch

Tim and Lyndal  have been a part of Raymond Terrace Community Church since 2000.  Tim started in the role of Associate Pastor (Children and Youth ministries) in January 2006.  Both Lyndal and Tim hold education degrees and have backgrounds in teaching Music at Maitland Christian school and Medowie Christian school.

Tim is well known for his enjoyment of good coffee.  He loves music and is involved in the music ministry here at Raymond Terrace.  Tim is excited seeing young people becoming passionate about Jesus and displaying leadership to their friends and colleagues around them.  Lyndal does not share his love of coffee, but will gladly accept donations of marshmallows and chocolate!

Lyndal joins Tim with her passion in using Music as a tool to connect people to their Saviour in worship.  They have a gorgeous, delightful 2-year-old Son called Reuben and are looking forward with  anticipation to lack of sleep, dirty nappies and sibling rivalry with the birth of their second child in October, 2006.

Tim can be contacted by ringing the church on (02) 4983 1889 or by email tim.blatch@rtcc.org.au

Matthew Blanch

Matthew first started attending RTCC at the tender age of 5 years wtih his Father and Mother. As a young boy Matthew soon learnt the devotion and the hardships of the Lord's ministry.  Some years later he gave his life to the Lord and has continued on the journey of spiritual growth until this present day. He now has a lovely wife, Vanessa, and two children, Timothy and Olivia who he dearly loves.

Matthews interests outside the church are old cars and motor racing, trail bike riding and 4WD exploring as well as having a small Engineering Consulting business.

Matthew has a supporting role at RTCC which is a wonderful responsibility and he enjoys this role as it enables him to carry out the spiritual gifts ‘profile’ that God has given him for use in this church.

He is blessed with two wonderful children, who themselves love Jesus and serve Him.  He is passionate about the church being seen as relevant by families and friends. He loves spending time with people seeking Christ, but who don’t know what they seek.

Aaron is married to his gorgeous wife Michelle and together they are blessed to have two beautiful children Jacob and Emily. Aaron grew up in Salt Ash (Port Stephens) and whilst he has a background in Agriculture and tourism he is now serving as a manager at Christian conference and recreation centres. Aaron has always loved the great outdoors; camping, 4 wheel driving, bush walking and anything adventurous.

Aaron dedicated his life to the Lord at the age of 17 and is committed to serving the Lord through His church. Aaron loves showing others Christs love and enjoys sharing the good news with those who don't yet know Jesus as their personal Lord and Saviour. One of Aaron's favourite verses is found in Proverbs 19:21 "Many are the plans in a man's heart, but it is the Lord's purpose that prevails".

Chris Thomas

Although Chris was born and bred in Queensland he has been living in the 2nd best state since 1999 when he married Kath, who grew up here at RTCC. Apart from a 2 year stop-over in Tasmania (at Bible College) and a 3 year term in ministry with a church in Sydney, Raymond Terrace has always been called home.

Chris runs a small clinic from home; practising as a Remedial Massage Therapist and enjoys most teamsports and adventure activities (although these days the recovery time seems to be getter longer). Chris also enjoys getting out into nature with his wife Kathii and 3 children; Jayden, Ebony and Caleb.

Chris' involvement in ministry here at RTCC is primarily in a Bible Teaching capacity as well as working with the leadership team in developing strategies to enhance people's disciplemship process.
